Welcome to Crabtree Law, PC,
Maria E. Crabtree is the founder and managing attorney of Crabtree Law, PC, and a Certified Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Her practice is focused on helping families navigate divorce, child custody, support, mediation, and domestic violence matters with clarity, strategy, and compassion.
Maria’s background in psychology, communications, human development, and child-focused legal work shapes the way she approaches every case. Before founding her firm, she served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate and represented victims of domestic violence through the UC Davis Family Protection and Legal Assistance Clinic.
As a mother, stepmother, and someone who has personally experienced divorce, Maria understands that family law is not just a legal process. It is a major life transition. Her goal is to keep clients informed, protect what matters most, and advocate for long-term stability for each family she represents.

Mediation is useful when you and your spouse agree on most of the aspects of your divorce but want a neutral person to assist you in arriving at an agreement on all of the pertinent issues that must be submitted to the court. In Mediation, the mediator can help you and your spouse identify the issues for discussion, gather and exchange information and documents, explore settlement options and facilitate the resolution of issues to the satisfaction of both of you outside the public Courtroom.
